Even small amounts of sewage from very few boats can damage the aquatic ecosystems and human health.

Developed by the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways, in partnership with the San Francisco Estuary Partnership and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services, this innovative app allows boaters to know where the nearest sewage pumpout, dump station and floating restroom are located. Pumpouts appears as a green place marker and lets the user know once clicked-on, whether it is currently operational or not. Also, the app provides pumpout costs and hours, exact locations within the marina, and help guides. It allows marinas to track their pumpout usage data.
