We’re so excited to share the news that Volvo Penta and Groupe Beneteau are collaborating on a concept boat with hybrid-electric propulsion. This amazing technology has the potential to change how we all enjoy boating, while being more respectful of our marine environment. The helm-to-prop technology is based on a successful pilot project with a hybrid-electric tourism vessel in Norway last year, and it looks like this new concept will be taking us even further into the future of boating.

The idea behind this collaboration is to bring together two major companies in order to create an innovative way for customers to experience being out on the water. The goal of both companies is also focused around creating products that are market ready, as well as providing quieter experiences which respect our marine world more than ever before.
